If you thought you were confused as to why the Eagles traded their star receiver, imagine how running back LeSean McCoy must feel.  McCoy recently spoke to Philly.com about DeSean Jackson’s release from the Eagles and the rumors that he and head coach Chip Kelly got into constant arguments.

“I’ve never seen that,” McCoy said. “I’ve never seen the two of them get into it. Coach Kelly, the good thing I’ll say about him is, he’s understanding. If you have an issue or a problem, he seems to always work it out.”

McCoy also said he is unsure of the team’s reasoning for letting the talented receiver go and admits it will be weird to play against him.  Jackson signed with the Washington Redskins which means the two teams will play each other twice a season.

“It’s a surprise for sure. Anybody that tells you they’re happy about it, I don’t know how honest that would be.  It is a surprise. You’ve heard so much, you don’t really know (what’s true). Not playing with him is definitely going to be different. Playing against him is really going to be different,” he said.

The public may never know the true reasoning. Whether it be the alleged bad influence over the younger players or the cap salary hit, it does not really matter.  All I know is the Eagles-Redskins games just got even more entertaining.
