The Jacksonville Jaguars are a team with a lot of hope for the future. For now, it looks like they have the makings of a team that could be a true contender. Unfortunately with the latest news of defensive end Greg Hardy paying a visit to the team, all the hype around them has disappeared.

Hardy is a well-known misogynist, victim blamer, and in general a terrible person. I have spent a good part of the last year, talking about my personal feelings about Hardy, however, this is just completely ridiculous to me. Hardy didn’t do anything for the Cowboys last year. He didn’t play the entire season due to a suspension, continued to belittle women, failed to acknowledge that he did anything wrong in his assault case involving Nicole Holder despite there being photo proof and acted like a complete moron on the football field. Hardy has also had disputes with staff and teammates(i.e. Dez Bryant).

No team needs Greg Hardy, especially the Jacksonville Jaguars. It is extremely surprising that they would waste their time on Hardy. They worked extremely hard this offseason to try and build up their defense and did so, especially during the draft. The Jaguars picked CB Jalen Ramsey in the first round and LB Myles Jack in the second round.  A great pair to make an immediate impact and potentially become the faces of the franchise.  Offensively, they picked up Chris Ivory who  is a running back that will more than likely keep the defense on the field a little less. The team also snagged Malik Jackson, Prince Amukamara, and Tashaun Gipson. All three players are really going to beef up the defense in a way that Hardy couldn’t even dream of.

The Jaguars don’t need the drama and bad publicity that comes with Hardy, either. No team really needs that or even Hardy as a matter of fact. Honestly, the fact that a team would even give Hardy the time of day is really appalling to me. If a team decides to waste their team and energy on Greg Hardy, I don’t feel bad for what happens when they sign Hardy, work out Hardy or do anything with Hardy. All I can say is that I’m glad the Cowboys aren’t wasting their time with Hardy anymore.
