It has been a tough career for Greg Oden who has been hampered by injuries ever since he was drafted by the Portland Trailblazers.  However, this could be the biggest blow to Oden’s career, I use the word career loosely.  Early this morning, Oden was arrested in Lawrence, Indiana for allegedly punching a woman in the face.

Police arrived on the scene where they found the woman laying on a bed crying and holding her face.  The police claim the woman was uncooperative at first, but her friend recounted the story for them.  Allegedly she told her friend, “There isn’t that much love in the world. You need to tell that he punched you in the face.”

Police noticed blood on the furniture and the victim’s nose was swollen. Oden took responsibility for his actions telling officers, “I was wrong, and I know what has to happen.”  Oden was taken to Lawrence Police Department where he was booked on a preliminary battery charge.  He said he had been with the girl for the past two years, but they broke up approximately two months ago.
