The New York Rangers are the first team in the League to clinch a playoff spot for the 2015 post season. After their win in Ottawa against the Senators on Thursday night, when the news broke, there is no doubt that Rangers fans everywhere felt that same jittery and exciting feeling they felt all throughout the playoffs last year.

For the eighth time in franchise history, the Rangers have claimed upwards of 100 points close to this point in the season. Even more exciting, this is the 57th time in franchise history that they have made it into the postseason, and the fifth season in a row that they have clinched a playoff berth.
