As everybody may know by now Ottawa was faced with a tragic event on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, causing lives to be turned upside down in a matter of seconds. Three Canadian hockey teams holding games this Saturday night, the 25th, are going to honor the brave soldiers who lost their lives due to the shooting, as well as the humble and selfless men and women who’s actions stopped the attackers and assisted in aiding the victims involved. While the Calgary Flames have already paid tribute to the victims and their families.

The Ottowa Senators, Montreal Canadiens, and Toronto Maple Leafs will each stage a coordinated tribute dedicated to those remarkable people. It is scheduled to start immediately before the 7 p.m. ET puck drops at each of their arenas. The tribute, described by NHL.com as a “show of solidarity” will occur simultaneously at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, Ontario, the Bell Centre in Montreal, and Air Canada Centre in Toronto. If you are not attending and would like to pay your tribute as well, you can tune in to CBC, Sportsnet ONE, andTVA Sports in Canada or the NHL Network in the United States.
