Edmonton Oilers goalie Cam Talbot made 31 saves in his third shutout of the season on Monday night against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Oscar Klefbom opened the scoring with a slap shot past Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford. Klefbom scored on the power play, giving the Oilers a 2-0 lead. However, after review, it was awarded to Leon Draisaitl who tipped the puck on the way past Crawford.

As a tripping penalty on Blackhawks forward Marcus Kruger ended, the Oilers continued to score. Andrej Sekera gave Edmonton a 3-0 lead with 7.6 seconds left in the second period.  Anton Slepyshev scored at 7:17 of the third period, giving the Oilers a 4-0 lead. Draisaitl scored a power play goal with under two minutes to go, making it 5-0.

Crawford made 22 saves for the Blackhawks in the fourth game of a seven-game road trip.
